CLAY SHOOTING

Fancy yourself as a hot shot?

If you’ve never had a go at clay shooting then now’s your chance. Our professional instructors will teach you how to shoot clays, or just watch your skill with a shotgun.

All fully licensed, with safety first in mind, everyone is welcome, with guns available for most ages to try this challenging Olympic sport.

RAPTORS AND FERRETS

Millets Bird of Prey display

Millets Farm Falconry are back at the Show with their stunning collection of birds of prey and ferrets. Watch the super speedy ferret races and see these magnificent birds up close. Their keepers will be on hand to answer all of your questions, as well as displaying in the main arena.

Farmer Gow’s is one of Southern England’s leading activity farms. They join us to bring the experience of the farmyard to the White Horse Show. A firm favourite with children who love to meet the goat kids, chicks, goslings, pigs and sheep.

Are you the next Robin Hood? Challenge yourself at the ancient art of archery, under the direction of our instructor. All ages welcome, whether a beginner or a skilled archer.

TARGET SHOOTING

Zero in… bull’s eye. Target shooting isn’t as easy as it looks. Why not have a go and find out for yourself?

All ages are welcome to come and try it out on our multiple stands. Experienced instructors will teach you the secrets of breathing needed to be a top gun, and ensure that you want to do it again and again to hit the bullseye.

ISLAND FARM DONKEY SANCTUARY

White Horse Show - Uffington - Oxfordshire - County - Country - Show - Donkey Sanctuary

The Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary rescues badly treated donkeys and helps educate the public about how to care for these lovely animals. Come and meet some of their rescue donkeys and learn more about them. You can even adopt a donkey to support this Oxfordshire-based charity’s wonderful work.

DOG SHOW

We invite you and your four legged friends to join in their Fun Dog Show. All ages, sizes and breeds are welcome.

THE VALE AND DOWNLAND BEEKEEPERS’ ASSOCIATION

Buzz over to the Country Zone to see live bees in action in the observation hive. Can you spot the Queen? The Vale & Downland Beekeepers’ Association are on hand to answer all your questions about these fascinating insects. They’ll also have some of their ‘bee products’ for you to buy: hand washes, candles, honey, lip balm and more – all sourced from their own hives.

KENNET VALLEY GUILD OF WEAVERS, SPINNERS & DYERS

Stacks of Colorful Wool

Learn more or share your own experience of crafts from weaving, spinning and dyeing to knitting, felting and crochet with the Kennet Valley Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers. The Guild holds courses and works with schools to show children how wool is made.
